Has anyone here used both the Sigma 80-400 OS and the 120-400 OS? I am curious about comparisons between the two in terms of build and image quality.

I'm looking for one myself as my 70-200 f/4L doesn't give me the range I need. My other option is the Sigma 100-300 f/4. But as long as your willing to deal with the weight, it should serve you well.

The benefits is less then 1 stop. On a tripod, this lens is pretty sharp. It's not the same IQ of an L lenses but it's significantly cheaper. cicopo Goldmember More info | Mar 16, 2010 08:25 | #8 I've never tried the 120-400 and based on what I've read I won't. Here's the link to the test I did with my 80-400 OS & 50-500, plus the Canon 300 f4 L & 100-400 L. A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.
