Giottos mtl8261b and what head?

Hi guys, iv finally decided to spend on a Giottos mtl8261b, as its a great lightweight and excellent walkabout tripod, but now im left with the decision on what head to buy???

Any suggestions?

Do you have any commitment to a particular quick release system?

not particularly, ill probably doing mostly landscape and some filming, but light is good lol

Budget? Filming as in tracking moving subjects while shooting video, or will you be able to aim and forget the camera? Is filming a major or a minor concern? For mainly still work, I'd suggest an Arca-Swiss style QR clamp on a ballhead. If filming's more important, then you'd probably want a pan-tilt head.

Two heads...

Actually the best head for stills is certainly not the best for video/film and visa-versa.

Stills = Ball head... preferably with an Arca Compatible quick release system. There are many available. I use a Giottos for my Giottos Mt-8180 tripod and an Adorama Flashpoint head for my light weight, travel tripod.

Filming/video = there are few heads which will beat a fluid pan head for this type of work. The fluid dampens any movement and makes your pans smooth as silk. I use a Manfrotto Fluid Pan head which I git for less than $50 on eBay and there is a Giottos fluid head new on eBay right now...

Yea maybe two would be the way to go, so what other recommendations would people give for both video and and stills?
