Gears used:
* One Canon 5D markII
* One Canon Speedlite 580EX
* Two PocketWizard FLexTT5 Transceivers.
* One Lastolite EZYBOX 24x24 softbox
* One Manfrotto Nano Light Stand
* One Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter

The whole setup was assembled in about 15 minutes from the bag to the model shoot.
All the following photo were done with this one light setup.

No No No, that's not supposed to work that way.
You're supposed to have range issues. Then, without consulting the manual, come on the forums and complain about your problems. THEN, as others join in, you threaten to sell them, or return them. Then the helpers here will suggest radio poppers, and there will even be some that suggest the $20 triggers that work flawlessly for them.
Hmmm.
INSTEAD, you get great images, of a great model, with gret exposures.
Please....conform, k?
All joking aside, I've had the same luck you've had with these units...I plug them in and shoot.
Thanks for posting....

Nice images.
I find my ControlTL stuff works well too.
Haven't had a chance to try my 24" QBox with a 580EX yet but would expect similar results.

What I want to know is how you got the cars lit so well with a single 580EX and 24" softbox. :-)

Thank you. I really love mine too.
I'm thinking of buying another one.
But it is sure expensive. I'm thinking about giving the Chetah QBox 24 a try.

After all the threads I was on, and all the links sent to me, and all the stuff thrown into my brain, the Chetah QBox 24 kit looks like a winner to me. $99 for QBox 24 and another $38.50 for an Impact Heavy Duty Air Cushioned stand, $140 total...

Thats pretty good to get some diffusion on my 580EXII, and the flash bracket is adjustable to allow me to use the Pocket Wizard TT5, or so it appears?

Those are great shots. I'm just wondering, did you shoot those in ETTL mode or manual mode? I've done a ton of sports with no flash and am just starting to get into this flash stuff.

Thanks
rj

I bought the FlexTT5 for ETTL so I was testing them in ETTL mode.

I have PWII's and the Ezybox and the 5DII and yes, these items do work well together. Nice review. Beautiful lighting.

Thanks for the quick reply. Another question if I might, what was your settings for the first model shot? And were you in manual or Av or Tv. Again, sorry for all the questions but I really like the way they turned out. Helps that she's drop dead gorgeous too though doesn't it.

Yes. Just make sure to update to the latest firmware then it should work as advertised.
