I have done all sizes up to 13 x 19 (no panoramas yet) and the quality is great. I don't think the archival quality is up to the 9500, but at my age, that shouldn't be a problem! I have had older Epson and HP dedicated photo printers, and this one is by far the best. The prints come out pretty quickly once they start, but there is a lot of 'activity' behind the scenes before the paper starts feeding - maybe 10 to 15 seconds. I bought the Red River sampler pack, and have been using their Arctic Polar Luster and really like it. It is a big sucker, so you do need some room. I am completely satisfied with it, but I have not compared it to any of the plus $1,000 printers, so take this review with a grain of salt. I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
