Just thought i would let anyone know Amvona has there 1 day sale on Large softbox's 32X24 for $22+shipping. I have one and seems good for me so far. Use it with my genesis 200 or 400. Comes with a generic sppedring but its about 15-20 for one of those.

have you bought anything else from them. I almost bought used lights from another forum and when a researched the company, many people advised to stay away.
Glad it worked for you..
I just added a
FAN300B 300ws with 32x32 Softbox...
Love it so far

32" x 24" x 17" - silver lined

$16 shipping for one softbox = $38 shipped + $15 for speedring (3rd party must be purchased to adapt to your strobe) = $53 for a working softbox.
$30.26 shipping for two softboxes = $74.26 shipped + $30 for two speedrings. = $105 for a working softbox

hmmmmm.... lukewarm deal. if you were hurting for a softbox, go for it!

I have several of their softboxes. Bought them back when they were on ebay. They work well and I have had no issues in quality. The only problem I have had with them is they switched from a fabric type grid on the 32x48 to some kind of louvers and they dont work very well at all. Too heavy and not sized well. The octo and 4'x6' softbox I have have the fabric grid and they work really well.

What's interesting to me is that, in the world of Amvona, 24" x 32" is considered "Large". That size would be classed "Medium" if it were a Photoflex box and "Small" if it were a Chimera. Amvona softboxes are becoming like coffee where a pound is now 11 ounces and ice cream where a half gallon is now three pints.

I have never bought a softbox before - what would I have to do to make it work with a flash? Or is that not a good idea?

Wait . . . so the speed ring isn't included? Need to buy it separately for an elinchrom strobe?

BTW - Today's deal is a $17 chroma Key Green Muslin. Yesterday they had a table for a product set-up. I may buy their deal every day.

I got mine yesterday too! Ohio... quick all over the board!

And yah, I want to buy their stuff everyday, I need a cheap-ish monolight, right now I'm using my YN-465 in the box.
