This weekend we went to Iznik (Nicea) here in Turkey with some friends. I was able to take a few quick photos of their son here near the lake for fun.

and so nobody continues to freak out....there was somebody behind the pole holding on, we started with his Dad but you could barely see him there around the pole so in these photos my wife is holding him, her body is hidden behind the pole and her head is actually behind his body

I wouldn't risk that.

it was funny because he kept on wanting to turn around and play with my wife while she was holding him

Your joking right? An adult with 2 hands on the baby ? I can't believe I am reading this..... But whatever if you want to keep em locked in the back yard in bubble wrap go for it...

Ditto

I think the shots look great. Lovely happy looking kid who was safe. Where's the problem?

That's just paranoia... I am sorry The kid was safe bottome line. I will probably take this photo off because listening to comments like this drive me nuts. The column is 4foot 3 inches tops with an adult holding onto h with 2 hands on his sides. Just a secure as if you were holding Him in your arms and about the same height. No wonder kids are soft these days.....

Move along.

Let's keep our opinions to ourselves about the safety issue and comments on the merit of the photo, folks.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I like the 1st picture the most. It matches the background so well, IMO.
