Just like the ladybird. i took it the same time of day on the same day. This little critter just kept on moving so after a number of shots this is one of the better ones....

sorry i caught up to this one sooo late. this is also an excellent shot, very crisp and clear, great composition and colors are wonderful.

Thanks once again. I'd like to take more shots of insects but i suppose at times you can do them if you can get to the right place. I am going to try and get to a butterfly world we have in Leeds UK, i would like to snap some of the brillient colours that butterflies can produce....?

Mannytkd, this is one great shot. Love the composition and the color. The black background makes the subject stand out. Great job!

Thanks, the black back-ground is partly due to using fill flash and the making further adjustments in PSCS2 using the highlight & shadow....
