I am trying to find out the definitive answer on this. Is this unit compatible with the T2i or not? I have looked in various forums and find very little answers. I know that the (some) 500 super is(are) not.

Anyone know the answer??

tks,

Okay, have a definitive answer from the horses mouth.

here is the response from Sigma USA:

If your 500 is a DG model and also an EO-ETTL II (this will be listed on the back of the flash) then it can be upgraded.

It is true that certain serial number (earliest) needed upgrades on the 530 model in order to be compatible.
