Just got home from Sony training

so since im in electronic retail sales i got a chance to go to a sony training seminar thing.

they were showing off their alpha dslr cameras.... and boy do they suck

they feel really cheap and plastic. and they're biggest selling feature is "built in HDR" that only takes 2 photos and has no options for tone mapping

Yes, their cheap ones are cheap. The A900 and A850 aren't like the lower end ones at all. Just like the Rebels are cheap compared to, well, anything nicer.

no way, i tried the a900 with their 85mm f1.4 and it was just horrible. the shutter release button felt like a button on a point and shoot.
