I have one and it has been having this issue where it will say low battery and shut down, often the battery is fully charged. Pull the battery and put it back in and all is well again. Getting annoying and wondering if anyone else is having a similar issue.

I have one and haven't run across this.

Could it be dirty contacts or something like that?

Sorry, not much help :(

New or old? Got a different battery or charger you can try? Sometimes the battery and charger don't make good contact and you get a false "Fully charged" from the charger, so it really is a low battery. In other cases, the battery and charger do fine, but hte poor contact is between the battery and the camera.

Bought it in July 09 for my honeymoon and it was doing it within a few days of purchase. Checked contacts and they all look good. Checked voltage at the time with a voltmeter and it appears the battery is actually fully charged.

Sounds like it needs to go back under warranty to Canon then.

I just fear that it is going to turn into one of those things where it wont do it for them and then ill just be without that camera for a few weeks and nothing will get done for it. I wish I could find a way to cause it to have this problem but it just randomly seems to happen.

Well, there is one surefire way to make it happen. I just need to get in a situation where it needs to work NOW, and of course it will do it then!

Just send it in .. if they can't find an issue and return it then so be it. If you return it enough times maybe they'll just give you a new one ;)
