I recently just moved house, and even though I am now only 2 streets away from my old place, I seem to have moved into bird heaven!
On any morning and afternoon I have white cockatoos, corellas, doves, crested pigeons, rainbow lorikeets, eastern rosellas, scalie breated lorikeets, magpies, ravens, even horrible minor birds. The last place I was at, I would hear them, but never see them in the yard.

I am on a mission to photograph all of them in one day, but the easterns are so timid, the lorikeets so fast and nimble, it's going to be a serious challenge!! And as they generally only come down when the sun is behind the trees, I'm generally shooting in the late afternoon shade and haven't nabbed a really clean BIF shot yet......but I'm practicing a LOT!

Anyhow here are some of the Corellas. I'll make a new post for the others I have so far.

They are very "fun" parrot, and like most, let you know when they are around. There is one big mob of about 20 or 30 that come around to the feeder or hang in the pine tree and drop half eaten nuts all over my boat!

Thanks guys. It really blew me away how just by moving a couple of streets away, I now have a wildlife reserve in my yard!
I heard this weird noise the other night on the rear window, and took a look and there is a frog stuck to it!

Seriously, in the old place all I had was sparrows and the occasional raven, and only 2 rosellas, but they came once a blue moon. I can set my watch to these guys showing up twice a day.
