Had a great morning at Red Rock Canyon earlier this month. A beautiful spot to say the least.

Nice colors in the first one. One thing you might consider is getting that bush out of the middle. On the side it would be okay. Where it is, it's stealing attention from the mountains.

The mountains look desaturated and with low contrast in the second. I'm not sure you need all that foreground. You might try cropping a little off on the right where part of the next mountain in the range appears.

Never having been there, but having seen photos here of that area, have you saturated the colors at all?

Joe...I agree completely.

Flo...yes the colors were saturated but much more so in the first than the second.

I thought so, it almost hurts the eyes that red in the first.maybe a lighter saturation would work.lol.

since i live in vegas, i have been to red rock. and though the images are stunning, its just a tad too warm especially if the shot was taken in the morning.

nice captures though!
