I need tips and/or suggestions how to minimize or eventually eliminate movements when shooting macro outdoors and there is a little breeze but enough to make the subject swing back and forth/side to side? I was thinking of putting some sort of weight (small clamp). Haven't tried but wonder if that would work.

What you need is a Plamp! A flexible sturdy arm with a clip on the end.

Does it means I also have to carry a stand? It might work, but not practical I think. Thanks for your suggestion.

Depends a bit on your working distances, subject type and whether you are hand holding or using a tripod.

Assuming you are talking about natural light shots, then if you are within around 6" you may be able to hold part of the subject in your left hand and rest part of the camera on your hand or arm. If further away then something like this DIY job http://www.flickr.com …schellenberger/473925615/ (external link) may be useful.

You would normally have the large clamp end fixed to a tripod leg, with the other end on a leaf or stem.

Another idea that I use, that would probably suit you more is using wooden clothes pegs. I paint them matt green so if any part is visible it blends in the background. I use them to stabilize one or more stems in place or hold a leaf.

Very cheap as well!
