These were taken at low tide out on the tidal flats. Wanted to get a lower angle on the second photo but was unable to without losing the eagle behind a sand bar.

At low tide they are out digging in the sand for clams and stuff like that to eat. The locals up here call mud birds or mud eagles. The tide in and around the cook inlet in Alaska has one of the highest tide changes in the world.
