Alrite guys and gals so I recently purchased a 50D, I shot a couple of pictures in Raw and it says its the wrong file type or something. I also shoot with an XT and Camera Raw opens those images fine. What can be the problem here ?

If you use Photoshop, then simply go to the Help menu, and select Updates. It should detect that you need to update. If you use Lightroom, go the Help menu, and select "Check for updates". Whether this solves your problem depends on whether you have a version of PSCS that is late enough to support the version of ACR for your camera. Elie / אלי
