You can search the forums for "Yosemite" and you're bound to find hundreds of posts and topics that cover this, but it never gets old.
My brother and I went to Yosemite last weekend so that he could finish up a biology project for school. After driving through the snow (in a Corvette) we finally made it to the Big Oak Flat entrance only to be turned around because I didn't have M+S tires on the Vette. These "mud + snow" tires gave us an opportunity to drive the LONG way to the Hwy 140 entrance at Arch Rock. Once in the park we started clicking away and came up with some gems.
Enjoy
1 - what a Vette looks like after driving through the snow and crappy roads
2 - the clouds moving by the mountain tops with snow on them, couldn't pass that up
3 - first "successful" attempt at spot metering
4 - Bridalveil Falls with a CPL helping the sky be more blue
5 - even a 70-200 f/4 can do landscape shots...the Tunnel View
6 - taking it all in
7 - a B&W using the 70-200 of the Tunnel View
8 - an awesome surprise on our way out were these guys. they were very calm and let me get within 15' to take their pictures
As always, C&C is welcomed
