Interesting shot. Not sure how big you are as that child's dad, but I can tell you this: Your son has proportionally large hands to the size of his head. My oldest son did as well. He's 21 now and a college junior. He's 6' 5" 260 and wears size 17 shoes. His hands are the size of large pie plates to this day. Could palm a basketball in 7th grade.

Make a note of this and don't forget. Measure your child's height at age 2. Good rule of thumb is that his height in inches at 2 years is 1/2 his expected adult height. My son was 39" tall at 2 and is between 6' 5" and 6." Pretty much spot on for both my boys at 2 years of age.

The large hands are a dead giveaway that he's going to be a big kid!

hmm very interesting! well i can tell you i'm only 5'10" / 165 and i'm tall for my family :) on my wifes side (she's only 5'2" and so is her mom) BUT her dad and all of his brothers are 6'4" - 6'6" and built like lumberjacks! funny thing about her dad though is he has small hands/feet (me and him wear the same 10 1/2 - 11 shoe size irontically). so i can imagine the chance IS there. ok now you got my imagination going a bit here because i was a sprinter in high school and was telling my wife can we imagine if he got her dads size and his daddy's speed. ok i need to stop :)
i'll keep your tips in mind though and do a check point when he's 2. so are you pretty tall then too?
thanks for the comments!

No, not tall. But same family info you provided. The men on the mom's side of the family are all NFL linebacker/tight end sized guys. The boys certainly didn't get it from me at 5'10" and 175 lbs!

enjoy that beautiful addition to the family!

ok wow that is really ironic then! thats about exactly the situation for me.....my wife's dad and her uncles all have that tight end kind of build to them. so your kids are into sport then it sounds like?
