All the world's indeed a stage and we are merely players performers and portrayers.

All three posts are great but I like this one the most!

Then again, some of those old cars have surprised me. ;-)a
Edit, actually, 76 mph, according to this site.

Edit, I found information in that same site that 83 mph was the top speed.

The Shannon is the latest class of all-weather lifeboat to join the RNLI fleet.
She’s the first modern all-weather lifeboat to be propelled by waterjets instead of traditional propellers, making her our most agile and manoeuvrable all-weather lifeboat yet.

Every year in Slavutych, Ukraine there is a memorial service for the first responders who died in the Chernobyl explosion in 1986. Slauvutych is the town that was built to replace Prypiat the town that was abandoned in the days after the explosion.

At the exact time of the incident (01:23 Moscow time) the fire engine sounds it's siren and the town falls silent for a minute then everyone lays flowers and candles on the memorial in the centre of the town. It is quite a moving ceremony that I have been privileged to attend several times whilst living and working there.

These engines look ancient but they are still in use as the towns fire brigade.
