I work at a public aquarium, and I take care of the shark exhibit. I had to do some work in the tank last week so I brought the camera in with me.

Thanks for looking
Chris

You were in the tank with this? Hope there was something besides your camera between you and him (LOL). Nice shot.

All I want is just a little more than I'll ever have.

Great Shot.

Philk54, Sand Tigers are more ferocious looking than they really are. At one time they were plentiful around here off the coast of North Carolina and you could scuba dive with them, if they didn't scurry off and hide.

Man, that is especially creepy with him appearing as if out of the pitch black of the ocean. Great shot, the teeth make my toes curl up...

Yep, actually 6 of them. And just me and my camera. Sharks get a bad rap. Yes, this one could do some damage if it were to bite me, but for the most part they keep to themselves.

Thank you.

Those teeth are what make them a great display animal. There numbers are way down, but luckily they are currently federally protected.

Thank you

Thank you. Those teeth are about an inch long.

Is the grouper a more foul-tempered beastie than the sandtiger (either to humans or other fishies)?

In the tank, the sandtigers are more foul-tempered. All though when we recieved him from another public aquarium, he ripped the boot off my boss's foot when he stepped in the holding tank to transer it to out to our tank.
