Does anyone know if a 550/580EX flash fit in the international, standing on its end?

i dunno about the 550 since i dont have one, and not sure wat the size is. 580EX II does, and so does 580EX. w/o the sto-fen of course.

Thanks John. The 550 and SB900 are just a bit bigger than the 580EX. The gripped D700 bodies are the size of a 1 series too.

Looking at your photos i'm not sure how everything will fit for me. I like to keep at least one body with a lens on ready to go, two if possible, and I need to be able to chuck things in quite quickly when moving locations. The only disadvantage of the security seems to be it's not great for travel, which really isn't a big requirement, just a "nice to have". Having a strap so my assistant can easily carry the bag around fields could be handy too, I shoot in quite a few rural locations.

Cheers John :)

I'm also thinking the backpack strap on the security would make my assistants life easier.

Interesting, thanks John. Do you think you could pack it so at least one body has a lens fitted, and still fit everything in?

cant do it tonight.. but i used to have the 24-70 attached to the 5D2... the 70-200 goes where the two 580exII flash are. and the flashes goes where the hood are. something like that. later i just decided to have it un-attached.

Hi guys,
has anyone tried to fit a studio flash head in the bag with other gear?
I'm thinking about buying this amazing bag, but I haven't seen any pics with studio flashes in it.
I know that the Elinchrom Quadra Ranger fits perfectly in this, but I'm think more like the Elinchrom D-lite 4. Any information or even pictures would be really helpful. Thanks a lot.

It'd be a pretty expensive bag for studio lights, which tend to be pretty robust.

I know. But sometimes I just want to have all my gear in one bag which is much easier to carry around than like 3-4 bags. But I'm probably guessing that if it fits the 300 2.8 or even the 400 it will definitely fit the Elinchrom Dlite4....

They'd probably fit, but they'd take up a heap of room. I don't know how big a D-Lite is, but I could fit an AB800 in there, not sure if it'd be on its side or on the end.

Aren't you a little scared to bring a bag with all that gear onto a flight? When it's not in your hands, someone could just take a pen and open up the zipper and steal your stuff.

It's carry on size. Very strong zips and locks but someone could get past them I'm sure.
