does anyone know of a canon recall for sub mirror or the affects this has on camera performance ,as mine seems to be inconsistant on image quality . ive never been over happy with its results but put it down to pilot error .ive owned it one year now so should be . just never seems to be as pin sharp as i would expect from a camera of this quality


Canon 5d . canon 1dmk11. 24-105 L is ,100-400 L is ,50 mm 1,4 sigma 12- 24 dg .... learning on th job :p

It just effects whether or not your mirror falls out when you shoot. Shouldn't impact your AF at all if the mirror box is in place.

The mirror recall should affect image quality. The mirror is popped up and out of the way when the image is exposed.

The mirror folds up out of the light path so there is no way it could affect image quality. If you're not happy with your images, post a couple here so the users can see if we have any recommendations.
