Can someone recommend a basic, inexpensive hand-held light meter? I am looking on ebay and need a recommendation on where to start.

Mar 22, 2010 10:04 | #3 I don't think $300 is inexpensive. I was thinking $100 or less. Is that possible? Used is totally fine. I just want something that can help get better results than the reflected meter in-camera. 5D2 || Σ 50 1.4 || 24-105L || 430EX ||

It can be calibrated. So if your personal taste is say a half stop bright, you can set it to read a half stop bright. Then just match your camera to the settings shown and you are set. This is also just about the only feature on the meter. It is as bottom level as you want to get. It is about $130. Actually I still have it here somewhere.
