how do I soften the images using photoshop CS2 that were shot by compact camera?
The compact flash camera flash made the image look weird, over exposed.

Posting the pic might help. If it's too sharp you can apply a little blur, blur more, or Gaussian blur to soften things a bit. If it's too contrasty you can adjust the curves a bit to lessen the contrast or play with the shadows/highlights sliders to get the look your trying to get. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
