'Damaged' photo

I've been reading my manual and posts here.. and I haven't read anything about this so far. Google didn't really help me because I'm not sure what to search for.

I had two pictures look like this:

Cut off the bottom but the other one had a green square.

Looking for an explanation to hopefully clear things up. Thanks!

Either
a) Memory card write error
b) Memory card read error

Try reading the memory card in another computer with a different card reader. If it it looks the same, then you might have a problem with the memory card. If it is correct, the problem might be in your card reader.
Also...
Try using a different card. If that card exhibits the same behavior, you might have a problem with the camera.

+1 I've seen it too. Get a new CF card, they are cheap and it's not worth loosing photos over.
