I enjoy both. If I'm shooting a nice car like the Viper I shot last friday, then the shooting is more fun because I usually take a ride in them before/during/after the shoot. I also love post processing because that's where I take a picture and turn it into a photgraph. I like seeing the final result of 1/200th of a second for the pic and a couple hours of post editing haha.

But then again if I'm shooting a piece of toast, I like editing better.

Yup, get as close as possible framing and exposure with good lenses.

I like both too. I actually enjoy post processing now. It really relaxes me and of course I have a few cold ones on the desk while performing the task. :)

Working in the darkroom. Nothing beats the feeling of having a nice print.

I really enjoy taking the photos and really dislike post processing. Even though I'm the "computer guy" I really do not like spending a lot of time editing photos, I'd much rather get as much right in camera as I can than thinking that I can fix it in post.

Apparently I've been dubbed Foxy.

Shooting. I'm not much of a post processing & major editing type. I'll do it to make a good photo better if I need to but unlike most people I won't take a crappy photo and try to make it look good in photoshop. There's a difference between using photoshop to make good photos better vs. taking a crappy photo and using photoshop as an excuse for a crappy picture.

Good point Mikey. I'm starting to learn that as I progress. Ask me 2 months ago and I would've had 90% keepers because I would make them keepers but now as I sort I only pick the best of the best and work on those. I can honestly say it's brought my final pics to a whole new personal level.

I think most folks here responding try to first 'get it right' in the camera: post processing is not merely a corrective exercise. Also, just to note, twiddling with saturation, color, sharpness, and other parameters in camera is effectively post processing.

Shooting excites me most, most of the time.

However taking a good photo of the CF card and transforming it into a wall hanger is a pretty sweet moment as well.

The photo attached was pretty good out of the camera but a little contrast/saturation/cloning (bhoys in the water) etc made it so much better. (apologies for the jpeg artifacts - i had to seriously resize and compact it for use here)

100% shooting because it means I'm outside (or with the family) doing something worth shooting... I don't mind PPing, but I do it at night after the suns gone down and I can't really shoot. Even then some nights I go out shooting anyway. As a computer geek as well I don't mind PPing, but shooting is MUCH more fun.
