Oh my, these are so dramatic. Look at that duck: fully conscious, eyes wide open and making noise. Poor fellow. I had no idea eagles ate ducks. Terrific sequence, Don.

Great shots. It's rare, but I have seen a few pics of this behavior before. They normally eat fish cause they are way easier to catch.

Great shots, of mother nature doing her thing. Bald eagles main food source is fish, but they will take water fowl, sea otter pups,rabbits and carrion, if the need arises.
Survival is the game so whatever it takes.

Great series. I wish the eagles would stick to fish as I hate seeing a beautiful Wood Duck hen as dinner.
