For around that price you can get a used 40D or XSi... prolly your best bets, you got money for lenses as well I hope?

Check local stores for closeouts on the XSi. I bought a new one with the 18-55mm kit lens last night during Sears Family and Friends sale for $351.00. Now I can't decide whether to keep it because it was so cheap or flip it and make a few dollars.

Closeouts and refurbs are always great bargains, so look into those options.
Look for an IS version of the 18-55mm kit lens, if that's your current persuasion
for buying a camera/lens kit.

Will mentioned a used 40D, and it's a great choice at a great price.

But do you have the lens(es)?
Most EF lenses will work on both full-frame and crop-sensor cameras, while the
EF-S lenses often work well with or only on crop-sensor cameras.
