Take a look at this:http://grab.by/3g8M (external link)

It can't create a HDR using Photomatix. The workaround is to create an HDR in Photoshop, then save it and open it with photomatix and tone map there. Am I doing anything wrong to make photomatix output this?

I run Mac OS 10.6.2 (latest) and this occurs on both my macbook air and my iMac.

Are you using the current version of Photomatix? It works fine on my MBA, MBP and hackintosh with 10.6.2.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

I don't use Photomatix, but when I see that happen in other programs it's usually something related to the file format not being read correctly by the program. I'd try to change the file type (like Tiff to PSD or the other way around) and/or bit depth and see what happens.

It seems that I have the same problem with Photomatix Pro 2.5 (2.5.4): http://www.flickr.com/photos/califfoto/5364554071/ (external link)
I've tried Canon RAW, JPEG (showed in the picture), but only got it right when I used Tiff (after reading this thread). Any idea what has gone wrong or how to fix it?
Thx much

Have you asked for help in the HDR section? Lots of Photomatix users there.
