(Sorry if this has been discussed before - searching for "Windows 7" is futile, because "7" can't be used as a search term)

Back in the "old days" of Windows Vista, some of us had a nagging problem of losing the monitor profile every so often - after sleep, or a security update, or whatever.

Can anyone tell me if this problem persists with Windows 7? I assume it's been fixed, but I'd like to know for sure.

Ta.

Thanks.

You'll understand that I'm hoping for a few people to verify this. Many people thought it had been fixed in Vista, too, but it certainly wasn't for all of us.

The reason I'm asking is that a customer contacted me with a "loss of profile" problem in W7 that sounded suspiciously like the same thing.

I don't have any issues with Windows 7, and make frequent use of sleep.

Hmmm ... thanks, everyone.

That doesn't explain my client's dilemma, nor why, when I suggested she try the Vista solution, it seemed to work.
