Hi!

I'm having a big dilemma here. I have an APS-C (don't plan on switching to FF soon) My current set is 10-22 + 18-55IS + 55-250IS

I'm thinking in switching the kit combo for a 24-105L. But i'm not sure if the 24-105 would be a good choice for APS-C (not wide enough), but its true that I do have the UWA.

I was hopping the 24-105 would decrease the amount of lens swapping (18-55 to 55-250) but on the other hand I'll be capped at 105mm and I'm not sure that would be good for travel...

I don't think I want to travel with 10-22 + 24-105 + 55-250, too much weight and overlapping.

I don't see many other options:
17-85 poor IQ, better keep 18-55+55-250IS
15-85 overlaps my UWA

Help :(

Ease of use and travel ability = your current lenses.

Don't get too sucked into getting an L...especially for travel.

Consider a 15-85. Overlap is a good thing..it means less switching!

The 24-105 is a great all rounder but I did notice last time I traveled with a APC I was forever switching to a UWA (12-24 sigma). I rarely travel with a tele and I would say although I am sure I could use it at times - I have rarely missed it. If I am worried about weight then the tele is the last lens in the bag.

I would say the 15-85- the 3mm that it adds over the 18-55 makes a big difference. The 15-85 may not be super fast but takes amazing pictures and isn't all that heavy or big. The IS helps out a bunch as well.

Don't forget I already have the 10-22... so 15 is just more overlap then 18. the tele side is more appealing tough

Anyway, I decided on the 24-105, waiting for free time and good weather to travel test it :)
