I did, but made the suggestion anyway just so he had more options available...

If you're going to jump on anyone, why don't you criticize the posters suggesting Billingham bags?

I took a large laptop bag and converted half of it to a camera bag with some pick and pluck foam. You could probably find a closeout laptop bag from somewhere, then just buy $30 in pick and pluck from B&H and you are good for around $50. Very professional and you can even carry a laptop and folio.
