Or as it is affectionately called, the Texas bird of Paradise. Only recently have they started showing up from their long migration across the Gulf of Mexico. They are so tired and hungry which makes it possible to get quite close to them right now. And yes, I know it is the state bird of Oklahoma, ours is the Mockingbird.

Nice shots of a very Pretty bird! I think for me to get one of those --I will need to go to southwest Missouri -or farther south and west .
