Does anyone know for sure or have a link to any reputable tests (I been looking around) to know which camera has less noise at ISO 800, ISO 1600, and ISO 3200?

I'm debating whether or not to trade my 5D + a couple of hundred dollars for a 1DS Mark II with one of my friends.
It would be used mainly for weddings and portraits.

I already have a 7D as well for sports, wildlife, etc.

I traded my 5D for the 1Ds MKII and am happy with it. The 5D is nice, really nice and the image quality is excellent. Noise is good but I rarely shoot above ISO1600. Center focus point is good but outer points are not as sensitive. Overall I like it alot.

The 1ds MKII is a different camera. Since I was using the 1d MKII at the same time, I wanted the same batteries as well as same controls. 16.7 MP is really nice and the files from the 1ds, all though not as sharp as the 5D SOOC, it can be pushed and pulled to the max without breaking.

Many threads regarding this question so take your time and read up on it. I think you'll be happy if you make the switch.

The question is, 5D2 or 1DsMKII? Which one? A used 1DsMKII at Adorama is around $1800 (they probably bought if for $1000)
