it's a nice image, looks peaceful. my sugguestions would be to not cut-off hands/fingers.... baby looks a little soft; but its a keeper anyways.

The focus on mom's eye is interesting, but I'm not sure in the best way possible. My eyes automatically go down to the baby, but since it's not in focus, go back up towards the mom's eye. I feel like it would be improved if the focus followed the rule of thirds, and made her eye in the top left third of the photograph.

Also, making the darkest points even darker (adjusting shadow or contrast or levels) could make the picture pop more.

You've sparked my interest in the rule of thirds! Ill have to do some more reading. I have a couple more pics I will put up sometime this weekend.

It's a sweet shot! I would like the baby to be more in focus, but either way a nice photo :)
