Is there any way to get just the bottom part of a 580EX II?

I broke the hotshoe on my 580EX II, and would rather not have to send it back to Canon. The entire bottom piece is easily removed, as seen here (external link), but is there a way to find a replacement? I'm looking for a cheap solution, anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

http://neilvn.com …on-580ex-ii-hotshoe-foot/ (external link) and look at the comments, order sources and see if you order the same part. I remember this link as I helped a friend find and then fix his 580EX.

Apparently you can also call canon and purchase the part also. Never did try that myself though.

Thanks. That's actually the older 580EX, it doesn't quite look like it'll fit, but I think that's got me pointed in the right direction.

You can often find parts quite cheaply on ebay.

Try here (external link). I bought 2 replacement feet for my 430ex1. Figured I broke it once, I'll probably do it again. And I know, I've seen me do it. Cheap, fast delivery, and easy to repair. 580ex2 ought to be similar.
