============

We have a growing number of *Fan clubs revolving around specific bodies.
I thought I'd make a collection of them, so we can find them and keep them organized (merge in new ones etc)

The Master list is here

Feel free to point us to other models or threads that could be merged.

* WARNING: By posting in this or any of the linked threads you are wholly admitting in no uncertain terms that you are a snot nosed, milk drinking, knee biting, curtain climbing unabashed Canon Fanboy who's opinions must be taken with several large grains of kosher salt.

***************
New thread- Here is a sample of the picture, and the same one at 100% crop. Hand held. IQ is amazing!!
Agreed, I really like the nifty "Q" quick button... It's making me LAZY!!

I'm also impressed with the 100% crop quality. It blows away my Xti and my 30D. I'm posting two samples here. (hand held at 1/125 so it could be better) Impromptu shot.

First one, I resized from 18mp to 4x6
Second one is a 100% crop of the eye-
I used a 28-135mm lens, and took this about 2 foot away from my dog.

Then the 100% crop
IMAGE: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2755/4446004352_1f858c2657_b.jpg

Needlessly to say I'm impressed so far.

Canon Xti, 30D + battery grip, T2i GRIPPED, 28mm 2.8, 18-55mm kit, 10-22mm, 28-135mm IS, 24-70mm 2.8 L, 55-250mm IS, 70-200 2.8 L IS, Sigma 150-500mm apo, and two backpacks.

I went a little crazy in photoshop with the yellow (wanted to bring the yellow colors out I was seeing)- But here's another one at 30(ish) yards away...

How long did you have the shutter open on this one, Rivest?

I opened it all the way to 30sec and I think I had an aperture of around 16.

Here are a few shots I took yesterday and today while up at Squaw Valley here in Northern California. These were shot in Basic mode...will continue to study up on using creative modes to get better pics. I know some of these could have used fine tunning if I had the skill but enjoying the camera all the same, taking better pics that the Cannon Powershot P&S out of the box...
