Is is simply a seamless white backdrop?

Well, after being a member of this forum for more than 5 years, I am proud to say I am the owner of a brand new T2i.

As a short background story, I have been taking pictures all my life, but I have only owned two cameras during my 33 years:
- My first was given to me by my father (rpolitsr) when I was about 4 or 5 and was a 110 film toy-camera (wiki info (external link))
- My second one is the T2i (that arrived today).

All my pictures have always been done with borrowed cameras... so, I look forward to using it frequently and exploiting its uses, both on Stills and Video. I look forward to reading tips and advice here as well.

Here's a small sample taken from my bedroom window (new apartment as well, not 2 weeks in):

Looking forward to reading more about the camera, and learning from the people here,
best regards,
Rafa.

i am realy surprised that you were able to use your camera in the mall.
i worked in a mall in Dothan Alabama and if you brought a camera into the mall securety was all over you real quick.
did securety give you any trouble about the camera?

Hey Rafa, congratulations on getting such a sweet camera! You're going to be a busy man, I think. I like your picture, too. It's really sharp and clean--looks like you nailed the exposure just right. White balance might be a bit off, unless you did that on purpose (its like you are in a city of gold, which is pretty cool, actually). I look forward to seeing pictures of Ecuador!

I still have a ton to learn, but I'm loving it. I've had my t2i for about a month now. First DSLR, and can't imagine using a P&S again.

Thanks!

Thanks Mookalafalas, I played with the WB (we shoot RAW most of the time), but when the picture was correctly balanced it looked dull... I liked that 'golden glow' the hi color temperature produced, but I'll play with it some more, thanks for the comments and suggestions.

I'll be sure to share pictures from Ecuador.
Thanks again,
Rafa.

Nice capture. Can I have a go in light room to edit it just for fun, to see what I can come up with?
