I just bought the Canon Kiss X4 (Japanese version of the 550D) - haven't taken any outstanding shots yet, but am getting there. Its been about 4 years since I last owned an SLR.

good camera, you must be awared that Japanese supply their domestic market with the first rate quality model.

You must alsow knoe it's not warranty in the states. Be carefull with that. Sometimes than 75$ save seems good at start but when it breaks, it cost you more to repair it ;)

Also seems like cameras don't like to break within their warranty time anyways so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Wouldn't be any different than fixing an American t2i as the only difference is the badge. I always thought it would be cool to have a kiss or 550d badge just something you don't see here everyday. I got an old D30 that has worked flawless for me and I have not seen one issue yet. Not bad for a 10 year old camera that I take along with me in harsh conditions that I wouldn't want my t2i to go through.

Thanks all for sharing your images, really enjoying what everybody is uploading.

I did a small pano from my bedroom window today... 4 shots, cam on tripod set vertically at 18mm with kit lens. It's great for a panoramic's resolution the huge 18mp sensor of the T2i, here's the picture:

Any comments and/or critique are welcome (I went again for the 'golden' look at first, then changed it back to a more neutral WB).

Thanks,
Rafa.

I'm not in the states I'm in South Korea and yes I did buy it grey market, but also saved the equivalent of $180 over the model officially sold in Korea (550D)

I'm looking for harsh criticism of my photos - tell me how to improve, I will be grateful.

Sure, it's everyone's choice. But as of me, I'd be careful. I already bought a p&s shot on ebay from japan. It eventually break. What a pain it has been to get it on warranty... I'll never do that again...

Thanks,

Well, it is a tad dark, I'd push up the exposure a bit. Buildings are clear, but a tad more exposure and they'll pop out more. They got great colors, show them :)

Also, you might want to give a try at hdr panorama, it might fit well this picture. But don't go for the overdone look with lots of halos around them ;)

Last point, I'd point the camera a little bit more to the ground as your horizon line is straight in the middle. We see as much sky as foreground (building). The subject here is (or should) be majority the buildings. They have some great shape, color and compisition. I'd show lees sky, more buildings :)

That is my opinion, take it with a grain of salt if you don't agree ;)
