This is not an HDR. ![]() Really gorgeous. It's not logical--we can see the sun is too low for the water to be illuminated like that--but who cares? It looks great! Call me Al Gear Flickr

Still figuring out all of the controls on the camera. Even in auto I am very pleased with the pics. I cant wait to get out and takes some really good pics but I just had to post my first couple of pics Here are a couple of shots of my favorite subjects I posted the first one because I thought it was cool that I caught the nictitating membrane or third eyelid on my parrot. It is the milky white part covering the lower portion of his eye ![]() ![]() ![]() Wow! How did you get that bird to change colors like that? My "Budget" Set-up:

I love the one of the mother and child. It's very touching. The last one is on the money! Naturally all 3 were taken with the 70-200 Call me Al Gear Flickr

Really, really well done! Must have been a pretty cool experience! Actually, it got a bit weird! I was sitting on my motorbike taking pictures, and the mother and baby came up to me and the baby actually started crawling on my muffler and the mother was holding my blue jeans and looking up at me (for handouts, I guess). I was scared to death the baby would get burned. I tried to warn it off, but the mother didn't like that, and they have teeth you wouldn't believe--I'm talking huge fangs like a wolf. I was on a slope too, and the bike started slipping back...fortunately they skedaddled at that point and I was able to make a clean getaway. Call me Al Gear Flickr

Fantastic capture... but where do you live? Jurassic Park? I just saw your 'panning shot' with your daughter... that 'dinosaur' is just incredible! You find some fantastic subject / locations... really impressive! Rebel T2i | EF-S 17-55 IS | EF 70-200 f4L | EF-S 10-22 | 430EX II |
