^^ Maybe an in between would be better? It looks like he turned down almost completely the yellow's and the orange's saturation. Maybe a simple WB change would have been better?

...? Still a T2i yes but does it still suffer from the same problem?

If yes, you should have bring your lens in store to test it before buying ;)

Nice shot Yahoo. Perhaps next time you could try for a less busy background? Cement wall, brick wall, doors, pipes ruin a bit of the picture. Same for the rocks on the bottom right corner. Also, you could try removing those sticker in photoshop, they take away the looks from the mags.

But is only because I can't only tell you ''nice pic'', you are not learning from that easy comment.

But yeah, nice picture of a nice car :D

Thanks! :)

I was driving around trying to look for a place to take some quick shots, but I can never find a good location in Houston. :(

I bought a spare lens remember?
The store also replaced the kit lens so before I went to the store I tested the camera with both lenses.
He then changed the kit lens AND the body. I got it home and tested it again with BOTH lenses and I still can't get a sharp photo. I must just be **** at photography...

I might do that later or tomorrow but it seems a bit pointless in a way, we all know what a blurry photo looks like and they're identical to the last ones I took which you've already seen.

The only difference this time is that in order to completely and unequivocally rule out camera shake I put it on a tripod (with a non-VC Tammy lens), and in order to completely rule out low shutter speeds I put it in Tv mode and used 1/250 with the flash.

In both cases the images were blurred.
I haven't tested this body in daylight yet but I'm not convinced that the results will be wildly different.

Have you tried any brightly lit closeups? A closeup of a product at low iso and with good contrasting colors should allow you to get a crisp shot.

Here's a 100% crop of a toy I shot. ISO 100, brightly lit, and from close range. It obviously has a shallow DOF, but you can see how sharp most elements are along the focus plane. Even picking up individual specs of dust and a few hairs. This is with the kit lens.

I tried a brightly lit macro shot with the last body and it looked amazing, but I don't know how that helps me because what do I do when I don't want a macro shot?

Thanks for adding that photo, actually I was going to ask if anyone else could add a 100% crop so it compare it to mine.
Preferably a landscape or a general indoor shot of a kitchen/lounge etc.

I had actually turned down the temperature almost as much as possible but it was still too orange.

I've now put some of the yellow back and replaced the photo on flickr. I don't know why the old version still shows up in my original post.

Inch,

I have a suggestion, if I may. Do you have anywhere you could upload an original CR2 file? A web hosting space, esnips, or any other place that would allow a file sharing of 20+MB per file? We could take a look at the original RAW files and see more in depth.

It's very odd that both cameras have the same problem if they exchanged it. Did you write down the serial number to ensure they didn't sent you back with the same old camera?

Rafa.

Shuttersnap,

I agree with the others that the non-yellow-cast version is better... the other is WB contaminated all over the place, it does not look like warmth but WB error. The second one is really nice.

This last one, I'm not so sure... I still like the more neutral one.

Rafa.

Hmm. Now I'm confused.

But on another note...
