I took about 10 of each situation and deleted 7-8 of them. With kids I find that you need to shoot alot to get great pics. I'm looking for harsh criticism of my photos - tell me how to improve, I will be grateful.

I used a 430ex set to manual power 1/32. In addition to providing illumination, the feathers are very reflective, and the flash really brings the colors out. I shot a couple of raws, but the buffers fills up really fast, so had to switch to jpeg. My Flickr

Your takes are really nice!! Did you use flash for those? Rebel T2i | EF-S 17-55 IS | EF 70-200 f4L | EF-S 10-22 | 430EX II |

I always recommend a cheap 3rd party grip for folks who want more to grab hold of, but if you want more camera, I guess you'll just grab your 5D Call me Al Gear Flickr

Your takes are really nice!! Did you use flash for those? Thanks a lot Al! I also like this one of today the best of all the series out my window. Those mountains you mention in the background are the effect I was hopping for with the extremely long exposures which render clouds and water like translucent silk. Alas, the effect is all but lost in the distance. Also, having a recognizable color in the sky puts the golden city at less a shock against the eye and I feel it is a bit more pleasing. Thanks again for the comments. Rafa. Rafa, your hummers were also very impressive. As I recall, you weren't quite as close as these, but you had nice OOF background in at least one, and with excellent color. Call me Al Gear Flickr
