Createsean,

You are not going to like me for saying this, but I believe the originals were better :) ... part of the beauty of those UWA is precisely the convergent vertical lines... as long as you have them balanced from left to right, I really think the eye is able to perceive that distortion and understand it for the straight vertical lines they are. Now, for people, that is a different matter, people up close really look terrible with the UWA, but for architecture I like the look.

You can minimize the effect by not tilting the camera, point it straight to the horizon, but, then you probably need to crop the lower half of the picture.

At any rate, you have made me crave for a UWA so I hate you for it :) . Nice pictures!

Rafa.

Rafa,
Thanks for your comments - I hadn't thought that some people might actually like the distortion. Look for more pics from me like those over the coming weeks.

I'm looking for harsh criticism of my photos - tell me how to improve, I will be grateful.

Flores, very dramatic PP. It reminds me of an album cover.

Dirby, I like the direction your subject matter is moving in. The composition in your more recent "mechanical devices" shots was good, but it is hard for me to get very interested in motors and such.

Just do a 100% crop then, or post the full size image on flickr and link to it.

;)

TeleFragger, it seems you have reached the barrier that attaching the images on this forum implies. You can only include small and very compressed images. Try opening an account in Filckr or Photobucket.. there you can upload images with full quality (100% JPEGS) at 1024px (and bigger, depending your account), which, coincidentally, is the biggest size you can include here in the forums.

As you can see, most of use use this approach rather than attaching in the forum.

By the way, those pictures have a really great light to them, specially the first tower.

Rafa.

Yeah, Flickr free has a limit, I find the 'last 200 pictures' to be the most annoying one. That's why I use photobucket. The limit is so high, that I just upload my 1024 pictures and put them into neat little albums. Works great for me.

Rafa.

Rafa,

is there a photobucket plugin for Lightroom?

I found this:

I can't vouch for it, since I've never used it, but it might be worth trying.
