LuFaine, thanks for the comments.
Evening, actually. I took a lot of shots of the boaters going by, and on the screen they looked promising. When I got home, however, I saw that i had let my shutter speed drop way, way down and they were all blurred--and not in a good way. I was really disappointed. I hate when i do that! You don't want to lose the moment "chimping" on your pictures, but I really should have kept an eye on the shutter speed...

T2i was shipped out today. Sad day indeed. I'll still keep up with you guys though. You're a good crowd. :)

Maybe the guy I sold it to will join us here :)

Hey Moses don't know if anyone tipped yoo off to this or whether it's still available but it's worth a shot.

Greetings and happy holidays to all! In the spirit of holiday giving I have a special offer that I would like to extend to a worthy individual. Our family has been so fortunate during 2010 that I feel it is time to pay it forward. So, please read this entire message prior to responding.

I am offering the following items to someone that genuinely needs them. This is not meant to be a contest to prove worthiness. However, it only seems fair that the person receiving this gear should be someone that actually needs it, and is not able to easily afford purchasing comparable items. In other words, don't ask for it unless you really need it and plan on putting it to good use.

Let someone that may be a bit less fortunate than you have the opportunity to start 2011 off the right way.

I will choose the recipient from those that PM me with their reason for wanting this gear, and subsequently, I will post the name of the recipient in this topic thread no later than December 28, 2010. Please do not post your request for this gear in the thread. And please remember, this is for someone that may not have the opportunity to afford these items otherwise, so I am relying on your honesty.

- Canon EOS 20D
- Canon EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS lens
- SanDisk 4.0 GB CF memory card
- RiDATA 8 GB Lightning Series CF memory card

These items are all used and as such show that ware. The Canon EOS 20D has seen action as a tool to document fire service activities including structure fires, rescues, training, and other emergency situations. I make no claims as to the condition of said items. The 20D may provide another 50,000 actuations, or it may cease functioning with another 10 shutter clicks. In other words, the condition and operation of these items is not guaranteed. Finally, I can only ship in the US - sorry of that screws it up for anyone.

With all of that said, I want to wish all of you happy holidays, and a healthy, creative, and prosperous New Year!

Gripped 6D and T2i, 20mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 100mm 1.4, 10-22 3.5-4.5, Jag35 D-Focus v3, Jag35 7" External Monitor, Halo Rig Mini, CAME Stedicam, Rode VideoMic, a nice head and Annie's old legs ;)

Just bought a T2I minutes ago! Can't wait to play with it! Although I do not know much of anything about cameras yet, I'm so eager to learn!

The T2i is a good camera to learn on. Best advice, READ THE MANUAL!

Great thing about digital is you don't have to wait to get it developed to see if you messed up the shot. :)

Read the manual is definitely the first tip. And also practice a lot with it. Like the AV and TV program.

I always shoot in RAW so I can adjust the WB or lightning if needed.

^---Just make sure you have the hard drive space. Haha.

The first two months I had the T2i, I used up 86 gigs of space on my drive....

do you delete off your hd once you put them on an external? I have two externals and i'm still worried about deleting off my computer for some reason, the extra space on the computer would be nice

Greetings from MinneSNOWda! This morning the trees were kissed with hoarfrost. Despite it being -1 with the windchill... I just had to get out for a few shots with my new T2i.

Hey everyone, just got a T2i for Christmas along with the 55-250MM lens. First camera of any type I've owned ever, so it's been fun. Anyway, here are 2 pictures I took of my dad's model railroad set in our basement.
Not really happy with whatever was in the bottom left of this first one, but I tried to crop it out as much as possible.

IMAGE: http://lh5.ggpht.com/_RNpxDBeASfM/TRZ5XJ527CI/AAAAAAAAAMk/TIAEZl7I5N4/s800/IMG_0175.jpg
Tried to frame this second one with the rule of thirds, I think the composition came out pretty good considering how unfinished the railroad set is.

I only have my pictures on an external. I transfer all my stuff there directly off the card. I'm really weird about deleting my RAWs. I'm kind of a digital hoarder, I guess you could say. I feel like I may need them for some reason in the future, even though that's never been the case thus far.
