I did a lot of testing but my copy had ~1.5cm front focus. Focusing on the eyes ended up in a sharp nose Hi. My name is Dirk and you can find me on •• flickr

Were these taken with a 50mm? David Took them with the 85 1.8. I try to avoid the 50 1.8 unless there is good light cuz my copy doesn't focus well in low light. I also think it tends to front focus ever so slightly. marubozo wrote in post #11591712 Wow. I'd almost trade in all my camera gear for that beauty! It was a find. This finish is no longer available on the studios. It was a tough decision between lenses/gear and this guy. Canon EOS R | Canon EF-RF adapter| Canon 70-200mm 2.8L |

I have the 60mm macro and Tammy 17-50mm. I was actually going to buy the 50mm 1.4 as well for portraits but someone pointed out to me that there's not a lot of point in having a 60mm that's good for portraits and a 50mm as well as they're almost the same focal length. So when I have the money I'll probably get the 35mm 1.4 or maybe the 28mm. You're right. The 60mm is good for portraits too. It's by far the best lens I own. It's ultrasharp (maybe too sharp for portraits Hi. My name is Dirk and you can find me on •• flickr

That 1.4 aperture must be amazing indoors. It's interesting that you say it's by far the best lens you own because I would've thought that the 50mm 1.4 would be just as sharp...? I'm only guessing though. I just got it today so I had not that much time to test it. Just did some wide open indoor tests (this is what I bought it for) by now ... maybe it's not raining the whole day tomorrow so I can test it out outside Hi. After buying a $900 Sigma 85, I just got a second hand 5D! I tested it out on my wife in advance, and she seemed shocked but kind of OK. I am heavily stressing the point that of course I wanted a new Mark II, but settled for an old, old, old second hand, out of date model at a much cheaper price... Mook, really? If so, that's great! Hope you'll like your 5D classic Hi, I'm David.

I keep up with the LP line, fairly well, and don't recall that finish being offered. I was floored to see it! Really nice find. I knew it was a studio when I didn't see the binding! _

Jan 07, 2011 16:45 | #5864 If/when I upgrade, I'll be keeping the T2i for a 2nd body. Shooting sports, it would be great to have a 17-55 f/2.8 on the T2i, and a 70-200 f/2.8 (maybe with an extender) on a 7D or 1D. 1D MkIV | 1D MkIII | 550D w/grip & ML| EF 70-200mm f2.8L| EF 24-105mm f4L IS | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS | Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC | 430EXii | EF 50mm f1.8

I was thinking about keeping my T2i as a back up camera and for friends to use when we go out and shoot. I will eventually be shooting event coverage and other jobs soon. I was wondering what your guys experience with multiple/back up cameras and bodies. I only have about 9k shots on the T2i so its still pretty new. Its been an AWESOME camera and i still love to shoot with it What do you all think? Traitor _
