I know I just posted, and I know I said I wouldn't again until tonight or tomorrow (don't want to upset people here.. hehe) BUT, I promised this, and am finally able to deliver Taken on the last day of our weekend, on a small 'hike' (more like walk) on one of the trails near the lodge (as mentioned in previous post). Also worth mentioning, given the nature of the walk, and the bag I have, I only took one lens along (fitted to the camera), being the 55-250mm. So not ideal for Macro (if I'd only had my 100mm Macro - aghh!), but when I saw this little guy, I thought of you and had to get him (or her?)! Glad I chose the 55-250 in any case, as we bumped into some great game a little later on in the walk.. (still to come in due course..) Initiation Beetle (Not 100% sure it's a dung beetle, but, a beetle, in dung, none the less ;p) ![]() IMG_1700 Wow! I don't know what to say. lol Interesting thought about how you saw a Dung Beetle and thought of me. How sweet! _

Do you have a simple layer that you can add to any pic? I was playing around with automated script watermarks in CS4, but I'm not happy with the results. I was going to put my picture as mine but my husband said women don't put their own picture on the forums:/

Anyone ever heard of a Praktica? lol Wow, they are still in buisness today - http://www.praktica.de/ I see it has a Carl Zeiss lens. It says ... Tessar 1:3,5 f=5cm
I don't know if anyone is interested in old cameras, but I found out some information about this one. This Praktica camera was made later 1949 to early 1950, and featured the first flash feature that ever came with a Praktica. I don't believe this is worth much money, but I think it will go well in the curio cabinet as a conversation piece. _

Two of our moderators: Maureen Sosa and SussyView have their own pictures as avatars! Best regards, Rafa. Well then I am going to make mine with my picture. Thanks Rafa

Now, for this to work your image needs to be maximum 80x80 and less than 8kb in size, so you'll need Photoshop or some other photo editing program. You could export with Lightroom using a preset also, but you'd need to make a preset for this type of thing. Alternatively, you can use free avatar makers... this one works fine: http://avatars.qkype.com/ You: - upload your image (of any size) with the browse button and the select upload, it may take a while. - once the image is uploaded you'll be taken to a framing page, select 80x80 as the target size - Now click and drag on the main image to determine which part to use. - Once you are done, select Save Selection, your image is created. - At this point select Open in new window - You'll see the image alone in the browser, right click on it and select Save image as... - Select the destination. Now, you can use the procedures that I described first to upload this newly created Avatar into your profile. Hope this helps, best regards, Rafa.
