Wow! I don't know what to say. lol Interesting thought about how you saw a Dung Beetle and thought of me. How sweet!

That is funny!

Great photo! Cudos!

Thanks Mookalafalas :)

I used my 18-55 and even 55-250 for a lot of the shots I took (I took MANY), though these posted were all with the 100mm (ok, just double checked, the first one - IMG_1279, was at 179 mm with the 55-250) :)

Couple more..

This first two were manual focus, hence the first shots trees leaves being more in focus than the birds, sadly..

You will love it. Go shoot some portraits when it arrives; it's amazing for how low cost it is.

Great shots dirkkristen!

great colors, maru!

I got a 1TB NAS (Buffalo Linkstation) a few weeks ago. I attached this to my gigabit switch. Really a great thing. Like a little Fileserver. I do backups from all my notebooks, etc on it. And it also has a DNLA-Mediaserver and BitTorrent-Client build in.

And all that for 100 bucks :-)

Alright, kids...the day you've all been waiting for.

Finances haven't gotten any better... so I'm (regrettably) selling my 70-200. It's up for grabs on the for sale forums.

Need it to go to a good home.

That's sad news moses. I hope your finances will get better with time.

Good luck on selling it. :)

It is entirely possible, but as the wife says "you usually forget what you did yesterday", so I'm not remembering, but that doesn't mean I didn't ask.

I'll trust your memory on this one. lol Still it was a good clear shot. In fact, did you say you shot that with the 100 f/2.8 macro? If so, that is the 2nd lens on my list to aquire after the 24-70 f/2.8. The MTF charts for that lense are awesome and by the picture you take it goes to show just how good it actually is.

Congratulations! The 1.8 is a very well received lens which is a over-all great performer.

Be sure to post pictures with this new lens.

Actually, believe it or not - the 55-250mm @ 194mm...

I was also quite happy with the outcome, as walking around I was quite irritated I'd left my 100mm behind, I just didn't feel like lugging two lenses around on a walk, not to mention I don't have a suitable means to carry the lot.. Next on my list (ha ha.. about 50 'nexts' on that list) will be a walk-around bag to take the cam + extra lens..

But I wanted the 55-250 for the range as I was hoping to get some game shots.. which, I was lucky enough to do :)
