Tried to crop out the distraction in the background but couldn't get it all out. C&C of course is welcomed. Dan

I barely noticed the background. What a beautiful dog!! I think it's a great shot, and I certainly have no C&C to contribute, so I'll leave that to our experts.

While it's not the prettiest view in the world, I was fascinated by the cathedral lights coming from the setting sun, so I ran inside and grabbed the camera.
CATHEDRAL LIGHTS And while I was out there, I leaned over the railing and grabbed these. I don't know if you can see the fly on one of the leaves in the third shot, but I'm amazed at what this camera and the nifty two fifty can do, and wide open to boot.

Feb 25, 2011 17:46 | #8876 Well, I'm on a photo mission tonight. The decaying NanoSail-D solar sail satellite will be passing over my neck of the woods later. It's barely visible, but occasionally produces very bright flashes of light. There's a $500 photo contest for the best picture of it, so I'm hoping the skies remain clear long enough to get a shot.

Lovely shot and view Sean. I opened your photograph into photoshop and was able lighten it up a bit (perhaps too much?) and pull out some nice red and yellow tones that I think seem to work with the blues in the image. Trying to catch a photo of a nearly invisible speck of light in space at a very precise time should be an interesting challenge to say the least. Good luck Maru, you're the best for this type of shots Hi, I'm David.

Can't wait to see what you can come up with. And I agree with Rivest. If anyone can nail that sucker, it's you.
