Well friends, you now how they say that "Love takes Time"
I'm now officially in love with my new lens!
It was the first day of some decent light out there without rain, but having been raining all week has somewhat cleaned the air. Today we had a nice magic hour and sunset, and I did some of my 'golden city' shots to see the difference.
I'm not one for pixel peeping, but the resolution of this lens is nothing short of breathtaking. On this small details like lights, distant houses and hill trees, the difference is remarkable! Also the color rendition is so deep and contrasted that I find myself changing the curve from medium-contrast to linear in LR. The other aspect of great difference it the border of the frame. In the center, they are more on par, but on the borders of the frame the difference is also quite remarkable. Very happy with the 17-55!!
Here's my new sunset:
Clash of clouds

I did some 'product' pictures of some sculptures and my 70-200 in the magic hour light, I'll post them in a while. Hope you guys like it,
Rafa.
