hey guys! lately i have been debating between 17-55 and 24-105. i think im leaning towards 24-105, pnly if i could find something fast to go with this. what would you guys/gals advise to pair with this? i will need something for indoors thats fast. i already have the 50 1.4, i think i might need something more wider than this. oh, and i already heard a lot about the sigma 30 1.4, any other choice i have?

I will be trying a Canon 28 1.8 today and can let you know how it works, the Sigma 30 is another good choice I just did not want to deal with focus issues and calibration since there is no micro adjust on this camera and all the copies I have ever owned needed it

Clamber all your shots are wonderful, great colors. The last one might need a smidge more contrast though. Good job!

so the 28 1.8 showed up, and I have to say I am veryhappy. I like that is is smaller and lighter than the Sigma 30, and faster focusing. Mine is sharp at 1.8 as well

Here are a few pics from my recent trip to San Diego. I just got my camera so tips are definitely welcome.

Just an update for you guys. I have decided to order the 17-55 instead of 24-05. Here is my reasoning; since i take indoor shots mostly, im gonna need the wide end. And when i do go outdoor with the family to lets aay disney, seaworld, etc, i still wont need anything longer than 55 coz therea gonna be a lot of people and no room to move around with specially when my 2 yr old is turning his head every 2 sec. And last but not least is that i think i can stop action indoor with the 17 more efficiently than the 24, with the help of my 430ex ii of course.

Hows my reasoning? Comments? Im planning on orsering it tonight or tom night.

Taken with the Sigma 30mm F1.8 and Tamron 60mm F2.0... Both at F4.0.

Halo effect due to max clarity. Will have to fix that after once I have more time in PP.

The first time I took a landscape shot with the grip, I knew it was a good purchase. It doesn't look like it will help that much until you get your hands on it.

I'm waiting on a UPS package that should be here Monday. Sandisk 16GB Class 10 SDHC. That should allow 500 or so shots in RAW with plenty of speed. You guys will be the first to know if it doesn't work. ;)
