Killdeer eggs

My husband cut the grass today and the mama bird made it very clear to keep his mower away from her eggs. She fussed at me for getting this shot but didn't seem to mind me as much as the mower! I will try to get some shots of the babies when they hatch.

Cool looking eggs, I look forward to seeing the chicks.

Very nice shot. You'll have to be quick, once they hatch, they can walk and will be gone.
